MUNA BRITISH ACADEMY

Muna British Academy is a vibrant, busy school where children are highly valued, well cared for and encouraged to reach their potential. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future. Muna British Academy has received consecutive ratings of ‘Outstanding’ by ADEK.

ATTAINMENT

In Reading and Writing, most children (90% in Reading and 89% in Writing) achieve levels in-line with curriculum standards. In Maths and Science, almost all children (92% in Maths and 95% in Science) achieve levels in-line with curriculum standards. In Reading, Writing, Maths and Science, most children (76% in Reading, 75% in Writing, 77% in Maths and 81% in Science) achieve levels above curriculum standards.

PROGRESS

In Reading, Writing, Maths and Science, all children make expected progress from the beginning of Term 1 to the end of Term 3, and almost all (91% in Reading, Writing and Maths, and 92% in Science) make better than expected progress.

Healthcare

As well as supporting educational growth, the wellbeing of our students is a core part of the care we provide. Our Academy is staffed by a full-time school nurse who provides health related services for all students throughout the day. We also have a full time school Counsellor­­­ to support the wellbeing of our students.

Security

Ensuring the safety, welfare and security of our students is a key priority across Aldar Academies. We know that, in order to learn, students must feel safe and secure. Educational research has demonstrated the importance of positive and affirmative relationships as a significant factor in determining successful learners and effective schools.

Sports Facilities

We have a multi-purpose sports hall, 25m swimming pool, netball court, AstrTurf playing field and soft play areas with equipment to support and enhance children’s physical and social development.
